Speaking Events

Upcoming Events:

–> As a college student, walking through the UCLA campus when we hosted the book festival, I dreamed of being an author one day sitting at a booth, meeting readers and talking about books! This year, I hope you will come join me at the The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, the country’s largest literary festival, on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 9am-1:30pm with Acorn Publishing to share In Her Own Backyard

Past Events:

–> San Diego Postpartum Health Alliance is excited to host a half-day, in-person continuing education (CE) program: The Transformative Power of Maternal Rage: Clinical Insights and Applications. The final hour will include an expert panel discussion exploring maternal rage in the context of perimenopause and menopause, reproductive trauma, and ADHD. The panel will include Pany Robinson, MD; Ashley Hanna-Morgan, LCSW, PMH-C; and Emily Beltran, LCSW, PMH-C.

–>Exciting news! I’m partnering with SheFit Physical Therapy to offer a FREE workshop for mamas called Mom Rage: Reclaiming Your Calm.  “Feeling overwhelmed? Join us in person for an empowering session with a Perinatal Certified Mental Health Therapist who gets it. This event is all about tackling that intense mom rage and helping you find your calm again. Come share your story and pick up some real tools to navigate those tough moments with your little one. Let’s reclaim your peace together!”

–> I am thrilled to announce I will be teaching a breakout session entitled “EMDR: Healing Sexual Trauma that Resurfaces in the Perinatal Period” at Maternal Mental Health Now’s next 2-day training on January 13 & 14, 2020 at The California Endowment in Los Angeles. The goal of the conference is to explore how sex and sexuality impact and interact with mental health during the perinatal period. Continuing education units will be provided. Early bird tickets available. Register now!

–> If you need an excuse to come to Las Vegas, look no further. I’ll be doing a FREE all-day training on the Afterglow curriculum on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. How can it be free, you wonder?  I’m grateful to have been sponsored by the Nevada Statewide Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Program and Dignity Health. The best part is you can earn eight hours of CEU’s for nurses, IBCLC’s and social workers. It doesn’t get better than that. Register on Eventbrite!

–> Closer to home, I’ll be teaching the same FREE training on the Afterglow curriculum on Thursday March 15, 2018 at the Washoe County Public Health Department, once again sponsored by the Nevada Statewide Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Program. Register on Eventbrite!
